Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Platform DevSecOps Engineer III in Seattle to own platform components from design through operation. You will build reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, operate production Kubernetes on AWS, and drive automation, security, and reliability across the platform.

You will lead incident response, define SLOs/SLIs with internal teams, and advance CI/CD practices while applying AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software or cloud infra experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain reusable infrastructure-as-code modules with Pulumi and Terraform.
• Operate production Kubernetes platforms on AWS (EKS) and manage cluster architecture, networking, and scaling.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems for major production issues.
• Define and instrument SLIs/SLOs in partnership with customer teams and drive reliability improvements.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and deployment patterns (blue/green, canary, automated rollback).
• Apply AI-assisted development and automation to accelerate module development and tooling.
