Job summary

Lumos is hiring a Software Engineer on the Data Engineering team to design and ship shared primitives that power identity features across our platform. You will work on an integration-agnostic API for reading access-graph data and enable insights across multiple integrations as they come online.

Qualifications

Proven backend or platform engineering experience building service layers over transactional DBs.
Experience designing APIs that evolve independently for producers/consumers.
Strong focus on data correctness, observability, and SLOs.
Familiarity with identity and access governance (IGA) data concepts.
Ability to ship platform infrastructure that enables teams to move faster.

Responsibilities

Design and implement core components of our identity data platform, including APIs and interfaces.
Build and extend the data interface framework for contract design and observability.
Migrate surfaces to well-defined, product-grade APIs across teams.
Contribute to data infrastructure by shipping product-facing APIs and shared primitives.
Drive technical decisions through reviews, mentoring, and pairing.
Champion resilience, observability, and scalability in all layers.
