Job summary

Georgia Student Finance Commission seeks a Platform and Infrastructure Manager to lead the state agency’s cloud and on-premises platforms. You will guide a team of engineers, standardize infrastructure as code, and enable self-service across .NET and Python applications deployed in AWS and hybrid environments.

You will drive secure, reliable operations, optimize performance, and manage costs while partnering with product teams to deliver scalable solutions for Georgia's educational programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in IT; 6+ years in IT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Business or related field; 7+ years of IT experience with cloud.
• Leadership experience managing technical engineering teams.
• Experience with AWS and hybrid environments.
• Strong background in security, data protection and backups.
• Ability to translate cloud metrics into business updates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee platform and infrastructure operations in cloud and on-premises.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Standardize self-service hosting and Golden Paths.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and AWS CodePipeline for rapid deployments.
• Ensure security, reliability, and cost control across envs.
• Collaborate with security, development, and business stakeholders.
