Job summary

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer, Platform in Anaheim, CA. The Platform team owns the backend for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and web.

You will design, build, and own APIs, improve services, and automate tasks to reduce future workload. Ideal candidates have strong TS/Node backend experience, cloud knowledge (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure helpful), and experience with Docker and Kubernetes for high-availability deployments.

Qualifications

• Backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js is required.
• Hands-on cloud experience with GCP; AWS or Azure also helpful.
• Proven ability to ship reliable services with emphasis on performance and reliability.
• Experience with containerization and orchestrations (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own backend APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Improve existing services to be faster, cheaper, and more robust.
• Ensure changes are verified with proper checks before release.
• Automate repetitive tasks and create reusable components for the team.
• Collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to advance backend architecture.
• Build B2B and enterprise integrations on top of Speechify platform.
