Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a self-motivated software engineer for the DCS platform team in New York. You will build platforms and services for large-scale production systems, create productivity tools, and design, develop, test, deploy, and improve software.

Bring new ideas and technologies into the platform and iterate rapidly. The role emphasizes developing on a web-enabled stack, working in Unix/Linux environments, and collaborating across teams to support domestic and overseas data centers.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with two or more: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, networking, and large software systems.
• Experience with ITSM/ITOM/ITSM (DICM) or related management domains.
• Experience with GPU, big data (Hadoop/Kafka/Apache) or streaming/computing is a strong indicator.

Responsibilities

• Build platforms, systems and services for internal and external teams to interact with the large scale production systems.
• Build tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
