Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a backend-focused engineer in San Jose to contribute to global infrastructure platforms. You will engage in backend development across procurement, delivery, planning, asset management, and data center operations to support cost management and operational efficiency.

You will own end-to-end development, from requirements gathering through design, coding, and unit testing, and you will be expected to promptly resolve live production issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong coding skills with solid data structures and algorithms knowledge.
• Proficient in Java, Go or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Backend development for ByteDance's global infrastructure digital platform including procurement, delivery, planning, asset management, IDC operation and maintenance, and cost management."
• Execute full cycle development from requirements to design, implementation and unit testing.
• Timely respond to and resolve critical live issues or production emergencies.
