Job summary

Speechify is seeking a senior backend engineer to join the Platform team. You will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API, payments, subscriptions, and analytics, with a focus on scale and reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience, and help enterprise clients with integration and customization while delivering fast, high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Backend development with TypeScript/Node.js experience.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform and at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Azure).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience preferred.
• Experience building scalable APIs for enterprise clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal services.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend with product strategy.
• Support enterprise integration and customization for B2B clients.
