Job summary

Electronic Arts in Orlando is seeking a Technical Director (Platform Technical Lead) to architect and scale the EA SPORTS Network platform. You will define standards, drive API strategies, and mentor engineers across studios and central teams.

You will partner with product, design, operations, and security to deliver a secure, highly scalable ecosystem, aligning engineering and product roadmaps with enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of platform architecture, software engineering, or technical strategy for massive-scale consumer platforms.
• Deep hands-on experience with identity platforms, distributed microservices, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure).
• Architectural leadership: designing scalable APIs and SDKs used by external or distributed teams.
• Influence: ability to build alignment across multiple organizations without direct reporting lines.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Ecosystem: Define and execute the long-term technical architecture supporting connected consumer experiences across the EA SPORTS Network.
• Standardize & Scale: Establish high-performance technical standards, APIs, integration patterns, and modern engineering principles for reusable technology at scale.
• Core Capabilities Engine: Oversee backend architectural integrity and integration of central technology services (identity, profiles, real-time personalization, commerce, advertising).
• Technical Roadmap: Translate product requirements into a multi-year technical roadmap with measurable business impact.
