Job summary

EA SPORTS is seeking a Technical Director (Platform Technical Lead) to architect and scale the EA SPORTS Network platform. You will define and enforce technical standards, APIs, and governance while mentoring engineering teams across studios and enterprise tech groups.

The role requires leading an ecosystem of centralized services—identity, profiles, personalization, commerce, and advertising—driving scalable, secure solutions across a global consumer network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in platform architecture, software engineering, or technical strategy for large-scale consumer platforms.
• Deep hands-on experience with identity platforms, distributed microservices, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), and enterprise integrations.
• Proven track record of designing scalable, secure APIs and SDKs used by external or distributed teams.
• Ability to build technical alignment and influence senior engineering leaders across multiple organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect the ecosystem and define long-term technical architecture for connected experiences across the EA SPORTS Network.
• Standardize high-performance technical standards, APIs, integration patterns, and modern engineering principles.
• Oversee backend architectural integrity and integration of services like identity, profiles, personalization, commerce, and ads.
• Translate product requirements into multi-year technical roadmaps with measurable business impact.
• Establish robust architecture governance, API/SDK standards, and improve the DevEx for studio game teams.
