Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Platform Engineer to lead development, integration, and management of AI-enabled analytics frameworks across private, public, and hybrid clouds. You will optimize data acquisition, processing, and model deployment for BI/AI/ML applications, collaborating with engineers and architects to build scalable, secure, and reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python (3.10+), async programming, API development (FastAPI/Flask).
• Deep ML/DL expertise (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Transformers).
• Experience in Generative AI, LLMs, Vertex AI Studio/Model Garden.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and scale ML models and data workflows on GCP.
• Build automated ML pipelines with Vertex AI Pipelines and Kubeflow.
• Expose AI models via high-performance REST/gRPC APIs (FastAPI).
• Ensure observability with Vertex AI Model Monitoring and Cloud Logging/Monitoring.
• Define SLOs and automated alerting for AI services.
