Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Plater/ Chemical Processing Technician for a Clearwater, FL facility. The role supports aerospace and defense metal finishing with opportunities for growth on a fast-paced, quality-driven team.

The position features a $20.00–$25.00 hourly rate, Monday–Friday 5:00 am–3:00 pm, and full-time with temporary-to-hire potential. Training and safety protocols are emphasized in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in metal finishing or chemical processing.
• Direct experience with chromate conversion coatings (Chem Film/Alodine).
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform chromate conversion coating processes on aluminum and metal components.
• Process parts through plating lines (nickel, zinc, tin, cadmium).
• Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, etching, rinsing, masking, and pre-treatment procedures.
• Monitor chemical baths and process parameters including temperature, concentration, pH levels, and immersion times.
• Follow detailed work instructions, military specifications, and customer requirements.
• Load and unload parts on racks and fixtures for chemical processing operations.
• Conduct visual inspections to verify coating quality and conformance to specifications.

Plater / Chemical Processing Technician

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Plater/ Chemical Processing Technician for a company based in Clearwater, FL. Pay Rate

$20.00 –$25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 3:00 pm

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform chromate conversion coating (Alodine/Chem Film) processes on aluminum and other metal components.
• Process parts through plating lines, including nickel, zinc, tin, and cadmium.
• Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, etching, rinsing, masking, and pre-treatment procedures.
• Monitor chemical baths and process parameters including temperature, concentration, pH levels, and immersion times.

• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work with chemical solutions and wear required PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
