Job summary

TrueNorth Steel in Fargo, ND is seeking a skilled Materials/Production Support role to coordinate piece and plate processing. You will assist in scheduling, BOM reporting, and material purchases while supporting CNC programming and shop documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and cross‑department collaboration to keep production moving and on budget. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read blueprints and translate into shop instructions.
• Ability to learn company software including Tekla PowerFab/ProNest/SyteLine and others.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math and algebraic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and quality policies.
• Assist coordination of production schedules across work centers.
• Generate BOM reports with priority information from PM, Planner-Scheduler, and Supervisors.
• Aid in purchasing material required for projects.
• Program and/or clean CNC files for linear material as needed.
