Job summary

Five Star Management LLC is seeking a plate mounter in Houston, TX to accurately mount printing plates on sleeves using an automatic mounting machine, following the job description and specifications.

Responsibilities include preparing job orders, verifying components (plates, sleeves, sticky back), and ensuring precise mounting with QC checks before and after mounting.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Familiar with using a computer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job order checks for accuracy and request corrections as needed.
• Mount plates and check mounting plate, sleeve and condition per job order.
• Apply sticky back to sleeve using tape applicator while avoiding air gaps.
• Mount plates accurately with automatic mounting machine and verify QC both pre- and post-mount.

Job Details: Job Location: Houston, TX 77041, A "plate mounter" is primarily responsible foraccurately mounting printing plates by using automatic mounting machine on to sleeves used on a printing press, ensuring the plates are precisely mounted on the sleeve according to job description and specifications.

DESCRIPTION

• Job Preparation, check job order for accuracy and request corrections as needed.
• Plate, check mounting plate correct item, plate condition and thickness as it is specifying on the job order.
• Sleeve, check mounting sleeve as it is specifying on the job order sleeve repeat, sleeve made plate thickness, sleeve made press and the condition of the sleeve.
• Sticky back, apply on the sleeve based on the job specification by using tape applicator machine without any air trapped between sleeve and sticky back.
• MOUNT, specified item plate, check all QC list pre mount, clean the back of plate with 99.9% isopropanol alcohol, trim if it is necessary and mount the plate accurately by using automatic mounting machine and check all QC post mounted.

EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Familiar using Computer

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed on climates Controlled manufacturing floor.
• Employee occasionally work near alcohol and Solvent smells.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
