Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a plates operator to produce lithographic and flexographic plates from digital files. You will operate plate making equipment, check plate quality, and prepare plates for press.

A HS diploma or GED is required with 1+ year in print or graphic design and proficiency in Mac/PC software and Adobe Creative Suite. The role includes maintaining production records, troubleshooting equipment, and handling basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years of print or graphic design experience.
• Ability to work with Mac/PC design tools and file formats.
• Experience with imposition software and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Strong color management and understanding of the printing process.

Responsibilities

• Operate plate making equipment to produce lithographic/flexographic plates.
• Impose images, review for defects, and prepare plates for press.
• Maintain production documentation and quality checks on finished plates.
• Troubleshoot platemaking equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Assist with inventory and communicate issues to CSR and production.
