Job summary
Aegis Worldwide is seeking an experienced Automation / Robotics Technician to support automated manufacturing equipment and robotic systems in a plastics environment in Pontiac, MI. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing robotic routing and trimming of plastic components.

Qualifications
- Direct experience with plastics routing / robotic routing of plastic components is required.
- Hands-on background as Automation Technician or Robotics Technician or similar role.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of automation equipment.
- Experience diagnosing sensors, motors, controls, pneumatics and related components.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot problems and minimize downtime.
- Solid understanding of industrial safety and preventative maintenance practices.
- Experience programming, teaching, or adjusting industrial robots is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair robotic and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Support robotic routing, trimming, and cutting processes for plastic components.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
- Troubleshoot robot faults, sensors, motors, controls, and associated equipment.
- Make adjustments to robotic equipment and programs to maintain quality and production.
