Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform routine visual, dimensional and instrument checks on molded and assembled plastic parts. You will verify appearance and effort standards, read blueprints, and document outcomes to ensure customer specifications are met.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, strong color judgment, and the ability to use various measurement tools. Some problem-solving and team collaboration are expected on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints and tolerances.
• Minimum 50 on Wonderlic Select Assessment (16 cognitive).

Responsibilities

• Inspects and verifies dimensional, appearance, and effort qualities of plastics parts and assemblies.
• Sets up and uses test instruments to determine compliance with quality standards.
• Reads blueprints to verify conformance with customer and company specifications.
• Labels, rejects, accepts, or holds parts as required.
• Audits and participates in problem-solving discussions on the floor.
