Job summary

Teknor Apex | TX Plant seeks a production operator to meet daily production targets and prepare for future needs in a fast-paced plastics manufacturing environment. You will lead safety-focused shifts, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate with team members to ensure smooth line operation and quality control.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate batch records, following procedures, and adapting to overtime or different shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years' experience operating production equipment.
• Familiarity with plastics processes preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to lead a small team and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily production requirements are met.
• Plan and prepare for future production needs.
• Enforce customer and Teknor Color quality standards.
• Obtain batch cards for products.
• Oversee safe operation of all equipment.
• Troubleshoot and operate equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with operators for smooth production flow.
• Enter shift performance data into daily production reports.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Work overtime and different shifts as required.
• Lead a safe shift and promote safe work practices.
• Prepare equipment, materials, and personnel for upcoming runs.
• Maintain records on in-process testing and QC of finished products.
