Job summary

Vital Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to move materials from the warehouse to the production area, mix base materials and colorants, and recycle packaging. You will ensure FIFO and accurate material identification while operating a forklift as needed.

You will read Work Orders and BOMs, follow Molding Work Instructions, verify materials for each job, and keep work areas clean and safe. Other duties may be assigned to support production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Good communication skills are required.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to operate a forklift is required.
• Previous plastics manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of IQMS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Navigate Delmiaworks (IQMS) ERP to locate documents and work orders.
• Understand and follow Work Order and BOM (Bill of Materials).
• Read and follow Molding Work Instructions (MWI).
• Verify Material is correct for each work order.
• Operate grinders and presses as needed.
• Maintain FIFO and proper material identification.
• Utilize forklift for material transfers as required.
• Communicate relevant information to other floor attendants.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Restock packaging and support other duties as assigned.
