Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Aurora, IL seeks a Plastics Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm). You will set up and operate plastic molding machines, monitor performance, and perform routine maintenance. This is an on-site full-time role with shift differential pay.

Starting pay is $18 per hour. You will inspect products for quality, document issues, and assist with training. Join a collaborative team committed to safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating plastic molding machines preferred.
• Understanding of plastic manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Start up and monitor production machines, ensure set points are accurate.
• Perform minor maintenance and clean filters.
• Ensure correct sleeves, boxes, labels, and materials are used.
• Record production and quality data and close out runs.
• Maintain clean work area and enforce safety policies.
• Provide training support and relief for breaks.
• Assist with special projects.
