Qualifications

• Prior experience in a healthcare scheduling or administrative role.
• Minimum 2 years in a healthcare scheduling or administrative role.
• Preferred experience with EPIC
• Education may be substituted by appropriate experience

Responsibilities

• Schedule routine operative cases and in-clinic procedures; reschedule/cancel efficiently.
• Coordinate times between provider offices and the operating room.
• Facilitate internal and external communication with staff, providers and patients.
• Act as primary contact for patients; provide scheduling instructions and post-operative care guidelines.
• Coordinate pre-procedure planning, including pre-op and post-op visits.
• Generate referral and pre-certification orders and track through completion.
• Utilize EPIC for scheduling surgical procedures.
• Maintain collegial environment with OR staff and physician offices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
