Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, MN is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics team. You will evaluate patients, diagnose and manage dermatologic and aesthetic conditions, and perform in-office procedures in a rural setting, collaborating with a board-certified surgeon.

The role emphasizes outpatient clinic management, post-surgical care, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited NP/PA program.
• Current Minnesota NP (with prescriptive authority) or PA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Certification by ANCC/AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA).
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in plastic surgery, wound care, dermatology, or related settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and assessment of plastic surgery/aesthetic concerns.
• Diagnose and manage dermatologic and plastic surgery-related conditions, with a focus on aesthetics, skin rejuvenation, wound care, and post-surgical follow-up.
• Perform or assist in in-office procedures such as laser treatments, minor excisions, biopsies, suture removal, wound care, and injectables (Botox, fillers).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician(s).
• Provide patient education on skincare, post-procedure care, and preventive measures.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including ordering labs/imaging, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and continuing education.

We are seeking a motivated, skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our growing Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics team. Working closely with Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Chelsey Johnson and our existing APPs, you will provide high-quality care in reconstructive, cosmetic, and aesthetic services.
