Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited NP/PA program and MN licensure.
• Board certification in ANCC/AANP for NP or NCCPA for PA.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations for plastic surgery and aesthetics cases.
• Diagnose and manage dermatologic and aesthetic conditions; pre/post-operative care.
• Perform or assist with in-office laser treatments, minor procedures, and injections.
• Develop treatment plans with supervising physician(s) and educate patients.

Job Details: Job Location: Lake Region Medical Group PA - FERGUS FALLS, MN 56537, Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 Salary/year, Job Category: Advanced Practice Provider, NP or PA, We are seeking a motivated, skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our growing Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics team. Working closely with Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Chelsey Johnson and our existing APPs, you will provide high-quality care in reconstructive, cosmetic, and aesthetic services. This role emphasizes outpatient clinic management, minor procedures, pre/post-operative care, and patient education in a supportive, rural healthcare environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and assessment of plastic surgery/aesthetic concerns (e.g., skin conditions, reconstructive needs, cosmetic goals).
• Diagnose and manage common dermatologic and plastic surgery-related conditions, with a focus on aesthetics, skin rejuvenation, wound care, and post-surgical follow-up.
• Perform or assist with in-office procedures such as laser treatments, minor excisions, biopsies, suture removal, wound care, and other aesthetic/reconstructive interventions (e.g., Botox, fillers).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician(s).
• Provide patient education on skincare, post-procedure care, surgical expectations, and preventive measures.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including ordering labs/imaging, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and continuing education.
• Promote a positive patient experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Minnesota licensure as an NP (with prescriptive authority) or PA, or eligibility to obtain.
• Certification by ANCC, AANP (for NP) or NCCPA (for PA).
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in plastic surgery, general surgery, wound care, and/or dermatology settings preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to rural healthcare and serving diverse patient populations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

• Base compensation begins at $130,000.00 per year, with the opportunity for a higher starting salary commensurate with experience. Additional income may be earned through production hours worked (wRVUs).
