Sanford Health is seeking a Plastic Surgery Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care for reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. The NP will work with plastic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to manage preoperative assessments, postoperative care, and patient education for optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, ordering tests, assisting in planning, and supporting outpatient clinics and surgeries.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate NP program required.
• Current RN and NP licensure in states of practice.
• National board certification in Family or FNP.
• DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history, physical exams, and surgical assessments.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to plastic surgery.
• Assist in surgical planning and provide preoperative counseling on procedures, risks, and recovery.
• Manage postoperative care including wound care, pain management, and complication monitoring.
• Provide patient education on procedures, expectations, and long-term care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams.

Formation

Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

APRN licensure in practicing states (RN + NP)

National board certification as a Family (NP-C) or (FNP-BC)
