The NP collaborates with surgeons to assess, diagnose, and manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, including patient education, pain management, and follow-up coordination.

Formación

• Master's or Doctorate from an accredited NP program.
• RN and NP licenses in each state of practice.
• DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances.
• AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG, ACNP-BC; FNP-BC or FNP-C; AGPCNP-BC or A-GNP certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive surgical patient assessments (history and physicals).
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to general surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Provide preoperative evaluations and patient education.
• Manage postoperative care including pain, wound care, and follow-up.
