Job summary

FMOL Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in examination and treatment, interview patients, record vital signs, collect specimens, and prepare charts and specimen samples for analysis, while maintaining accuracy and patient comfort.

You will coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, tests and referrals, triage calls, document visit notes, assist with medications and minor procedures, and uphold HIPAA compliance and safe clinical operations under supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program or 1 year experience in a clinical capacity.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licsure/Certification: BLS Required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and records vital signs and chief complaints as directed.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions.
• Documents visit notes including vital signs, history and exam results.
• Assists with waived testing under physician supervision.
• Prepares and maintains exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Assists with medications and minor surgical procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow and scheduling of tests and referrals.
• Triages calls and documents communications per policy.
