Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 1 year experience in a clinical capacity.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and records vital signs, and prepares specimens or swabs for laboratory analysis.
• Coordinates patient flow, schedules appointments, tests and referrals.
• Triages phone calls and supports HIPAA-compliant communication with patients and families.
• Assists physician with examinations and minor procedures, and prepares exam rooms and supplies.
• Maintains clinical documentation and ensures timely communication of test results and treatment changes.
