Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in examining and treating patients. You will interview patients, obtain vital signs, document visits, and assist with specimen collection and lab preparation.

You will coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, tests and referrals, and triage calls as needed while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high-quality care under supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program or 1 year experience in a clinical capacity.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Special Skills - Computer literate; skilled in use of Microsoft Outlook, electronic health records and other software programs.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS Required

Responsibilities

• Patient care and accurate documentation of visits.
• Coordinate patient flow, appointment scheduling, tests and referrals.
• Triage phone calls and communicate with patients and families.
• Prepare specimens and assist with minor surgical procedures.
• Maintain exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and safety in clinic operations.
