Job summary

University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation is seeking a Medical Assistant in Plastic Surgery (Finance) to support our Plastic Surgery team in Madison. You will prepare patients for examination, assist with treatments and procedures, and help educate patients on wellness and post-care.

The role offers a full-time day shift (Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) with competitive compensation and benefits, including health and dental insurance, and opportunities for professional growth within UW Health.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is required or licensure as an LPN.
• Completion of UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship or Employee Partner MA Program.
• CCMA certification as a UWH employee or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification within hire requirements.
• Acceptance into UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated option.
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA certification.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Join our team of plastic surgeons who provide the full spectrum of plastic surgery services.
• Prepare patients for examination, assist with treatments, office procedures, Botox injections and facial filler injections.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and patient education.

Education

Completion of an accredited medical assistant program

Licensure as an LPN

Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program

Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program

CCMA certification
