Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Plastic Surgery team. You will prepare patients for examination, assist with treatments and procedures, including Botox and facial fillers, while promoting healthy lifestyles and patient education.

The position offers a 100% day shift with a full-time schedule and comprehensive benefits. Qualified candidates may have CA MA program completion, LPN licensure, or CCMA/CMA/RMA certification, with opportunities for apprenticeship and career growth

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is required.
• Licensure as an LPN or CCMA certification are acceptable credentials.
• CCMA certification or MA Apprenticeship program can qualify.
• Experience: CMA, RMA or CCMA certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist with treatments and office procedures.
• Assist with Botox injections and facial filler injections.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness and patient education.

Work Schedule:

Full time, 100% day shift. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN)to:

• Join our team of plastic surgeons who provide the full spectrum of plastic surgery services.
• Prepare patients for examination, assist with treatments, office procedures, Botox injections and facial filler injections.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program Required or
• Licensure as an LPN or
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or
• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated or
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
