Qualifications

• Active credential in good standing (CPC/CCS).
• Minimum 5 years of physician/professional services coding in plastic surgery.
• Familiar with CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers and payer policies.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign diagnosis and procedure codes for professional services.
• Ensure coding accuracy and adhere to official guidelines and payer rules.
• Research coding scenarios and respond to documentation questions.
• Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining coding quality.
• Escalate issues to Lead Medical Coder or Coding Manager when needed.
