Job summary

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is seeking a Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level with specialization in breast reconstruction and reconstructive microsurgery. The role includes patient care, research, and teaching within an active academic program and Level I trauma center in Nevada.

Candidates should have an MD/DO, board certification in Plastic Surgery or be in process, and eligibility for Nevada

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited college or university recognized by US education authorities.
• Board certified or in the process of obtaining board certification in Plastic Surgery.
• Completion of a microsurgery or reconstructive microsurgery fellowship is preferred.
• Eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license; Nevada medical/DEA licenses and malpractice insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings for reconstructive needs.
• Participate in research and teaching for residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Contribute to program development and work within an integrated plastic surgery residency and microsurgery fellowship.
• Maintain on-call responsibilities as required by the department.
