Job summary

JobSquad is seeking a Machine Operator in Plainfield, IL to operate and monitor plastic manufacturing equipment, including injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion. Shifts are 12 hours rotating (A/B/C/D) with pay at $22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HDPE or PET plastics is a plus.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with hand tools.
• Forklift experience and warehouse knowledge are beneficial.
• Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, or SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery to manufacture plastic products according to specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Assist with mold changes, machine start-ups, and shutdowns.
• Perform quality checks and accurately complete production records.
• Conduct minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Handle materials and assist with loading and unloading equipment.
• Monitor machine performance, minimize scrap, and maintain production efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and good housekeeping practices.
