Operator Opportunity - San Marcos Area

We are seeking an operator in the San Marcos area with experience working on expansion/extrusion machines in plastics. This is a great opportunity for qualified candidates.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand specific Shop Orders and Work Instructions
• Basic math skills for measuring and meeting customer specifications
• Mechanically inclined with an understanding of how expansion machines operate
• Flexible and creative in responding to manufacturing variables
• Physically capable of bending, twisting, and lifting 50 to 75 pounds

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate expansion machines to produce quality materials following documented instructions
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot basic issues such as diameter and surface discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality standards while conserving materials
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, reporting safety concerns
• Maintain tooling and assist in basic preventive maintenance

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand Work Orders
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Flexibility to adapt to manufacturing variables
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 40 lbs.

Shift: 2nd (3pm-11pm)
Pay: $23.00/hour
