Job description

Priority Personnel is seeking a Night Extruder Operatorfor a manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX. Position isDirect Hire with the company!

Pay rate: $22.00/hr plus $2.00/hour shift premium

Work Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts, 6:00pm-6:00am

Job Duties:

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production order
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed
  • Feed raw material or parts to manual or semi-automated machine
  • Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Fix and/or report issues that might occur during the shift
  • Verify output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units and/or final products
  • Maintain daily logs/records
  • Follow all safety rules, assure others follow safety rules and correct or report any safety issues immediately

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures, manufacturing specifications, etc.
  • Basic computer skills for e-mail, record keeping and to access job related work instructions
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
