Job summary

ITW Deltar Fasteners in Frankfort, IL is seeking a General Technician Trainer to oversee facility‑wide instruction, develop and maintain training curricula, and train new General Technicians on safety, production, and quality standards.

You will lead machine operation training for injection molding cells, ensure adherence to procedures, and collaborate with leadership to continually improve onboarding and skills development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Adult Learning a plus.
• Ability to present information in multiple ways, to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Basic computer knowledge including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Ability to read and understand written procedures and instructions.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communications skills both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Train all new employees on safety, housekeeping, and environment policies.
• Teach core job responsibilities for New Hire General Technicians.
• Operate and supervise production cells and related equipment as needed.
• Inspect product per work instructions and perform checks (visual, SPC, extraction).
• Develop and maintain training curriculum, job aids, and competency checklists.
• Audit processes and employees; provide feedback to ensure standards are met.
• Coordinate training opportunities with off-site courses and on-site guest trainers.
• Lead safety and leadership development trainings and new program rollouts.
