Job summary

Amcor in Monroe, LA is seeking a Packer to set up, run and adjust manufacturing equipment to produce quality plastic film and bag products in a safe work environment. This role involves following safety protocols, performing line changeovers, and maintaining documentation of quality data.

You will read traveler/BOM instructions, operate multiple lines, assist with packaging and training, while ensuring 6-S housekeeping and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience a plus.
• 3–6 months experience in manufacturing or as a Packer 2 preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools and measurement instruments.
• Able to read a traveler/BOM and document quality and weight on sheets.
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow GMP/ISO policies.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, GMP and ISO policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment and perform daily inspections.
• Set up, run and adjust equipment to produce quality bags.
• Perform changeovers and set heat profiles for resins.
• Read travelers and BOM, check instructions and supplies.
• Record quality data and report variances to lead.
• Train new employees and assist in line operations.
• Inspect pallets and manage packaging materials.
