Octapharma Plasma in the United States seeks a plasmapheresis technician responsible for venipuncture and plasma collection, ensuring donor safety and regulatory compliance. You will operate automated plasmapheresis machines, monitor alarms, and maintain thorough documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and adherence to SOPs while supporting a fast-paced plasma collection center environment. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 3 months’ experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Training documented before performing duties independently.

Responsabilités

• Ensure total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain production standards and facility compliance.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
• Stock and replenish supplies to meet production needs and maintain a clean, professional environment.
• Review and confirm donor ID and maintain donor confidentiality per SOPs.
• Set up and prepare all equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis; label units and samples.
• Execute venipunctures and plasma collection safely and accurately.
• Operate automated plasmapheresis machines; respond to alarms and donor events; document exceptions.
• Monitor donor conditions to ensure safety and plasma quality.
• Maintain donor safety and product quality, manage disposal of biohazard waste per protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain plasmapheresis machines daily/weekly/monthly; remove/replace equipment as needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation including machine logs; report unsafe situations to management.
• Drive training efficiencies to improve timeliness and compliance.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform quality controls regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.”],
