Job summary

HORIBA LAQUA EMEA is seeking a hands‑on technician to build and operate a Plasma laboratory under engineer supervision. You will perform leak tests and troubleshoot vacuum systems, while maintaining equipment and fabricating parts for testing setups or modifications.

The role requires competence with medium to high vacuum systems, RF/high voltage safety, and gas delivery instrumentation, enabling robust testing and process development in a semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication and/or procurement of medium to high‑vacuum systems and chamber components.
• Knowledge of high frequency (kHz to GHz) power supplies, low temperature plasma generation systems, matching networks.
• Pumping system competency: rotary, scroll, roots, turbomolecular, cryogenic.
• Versed in vacuum and gas system instrumentation, such as mass flow controllers, capacitance diaphragm gauges, residual gas analyzers.
• High competency in RF, high voltage, and general electrical power safety.
• General competency and safety knowledge with positive pressure gas delivery systems used in semiconductor.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate a Plasma laboratory under direction of Engineers.
• Perform leak checking for medium to high vacuum integrity and troubleshoot vacuum systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot testing equipment and instruments to ensure operational efficiency.
• Weld pipes and fabricate parts as required for testing setups or equipment modification.
