Job summary

SpecSys is seeking a Plasma Table Programmer/Operator in Minnesota to program, set up, and operate laser and plasma machines. You will create programs and CAD drawings, program machines, operate and maintain equipment, and communicate machining sequences with manufacturing staff.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a two-year certificate in machine tools, CNC/NC programming knowledge, the ability to lift 75 lbs, and standing 8 hours per day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Certificate for a two-year technical program in machine tool.
• Knowledge of CNC/NC programming and understanding of geometric tolerances.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours plus per day.
• Or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance.

Responsibilities

• Create programs and CAD drawings for laser and plasma machines
• Program laser and plasma machines
• Operate and maintain laser and plasma machines
• Communicate accurate machining sequences with manufacturing personnel
• Ensure that quality control processes are followed during the various stages of machining
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints to ensure products are machined correctly
• Follow existing QC processes
• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair logs
• Provide input into machining and QC process improvements

SALARY RANGE: $17.00 to $24.00 per hour

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE including 4 10-hour shifts and 5 8-hour shifts with flexible start times!

As the Plasma Table Programmer/Operator, your primary responsibility is to accurately program and operate the laser and plasma machines.

Some of your daily responsibilities as the Plasma Table Programmer/Operator include:

• Create programs and CAD drawings for laser and plasma machines
• Program laser and plasma machines
• Operate and maintain laser and plasma machines
• Communicate accurate machining sequences with manufacturing personnel
• Ensure that quality control processes are followed during the various stages of machining
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints to ensure products are machined correctly
• Ability to understand and willingness to follow existing QC processes
• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair logs
