Job summary

SpecSys Inc. is hiring a Fabricator to measure and mark drill spots, perform regular maintenance, and maintain documents. You will work with a variety of tools and read blueprints to ensure precise fabrication.

Qualified candidates read blueprints, can lift 75 lbs, and stand for long periods. Training is provided, and the company emphasizes safety, quality, and community involvement across rural Midwest regions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Stand for 8 hours or longer daily.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and measure marks accurately.
• Operate drill press, frame drill, hand drill and band saw.
• Operate 5" grinder and plate roll; learn to use overhead crane.
• Maintain documentation and perform routine maintenance as needed.

The Fabricator has the primary responsibility of measuring and marking drill spots, performing regular maintenance checks and maintaining documents

Some of your daily responsibilities as the Fabricator would be:

• Ability to read a blueprint
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to operate a drill press
• Ability to operate a frame drill
• Ability to operate a hand drill
• Ability to operate a band saw
• Ability to operate a 5" grinder
• Ability to operate a plate roll
• Decimal conversion
• Will be required to learn how to use an overhead crane

What are we looking for in a great Fabricator?

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Ability to stand for 8 hours plus per day
• Or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
