Job summary

CSL in Largo, FL is seeking a plasma processing technician to sample, test, ship, and store donor plasma. You will collect samples, move units to freezers, ensure proper storage, and verify labels per SOPs using sterile techniques.

This role requires following SOPs, basic math, and potential bilingual skills. The environment is fast-paced with safety policies; overtime may be required to support center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Follow SOPs and safety policies (HSE/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer.
• Ensure proper storage of plasma units according to SOPs.
• Verify labels match the dynamic label for accuracy.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to maintain sterility.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and record variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data in electronic management system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
