Job summary

CSL Willoughby Hills plasma center is seeking a dedicated technician to accurately sample, test, ship and store plasma from donors. This role reports to the Assistant Center Manager and requires adherence to SOPs, sterile technique, and precise labeling.

Responsibilities include collecting plasma samples, moving units to the freezer, maintaining proper storage, monitoring temperatures, calibrating equipment daily, and documenting donor data in the electronic system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units according to SOPs.
• Ensure unit labeling is accurate by verifying pre-printed and dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and heat seal to maintain sterility.
• Pack and ship samples and units per SOPs; prepare shipping documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report issues; record variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and support bilingual requirements as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
