Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a role focused on the accurate and timely sampling, testing, shipping and storage of plasma collected from donors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and perform daily calibration of equipment while maintaining donor data and adhering to SOPs.

The position requires a high school diploma, a few months of lab/warehouse experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with safety and confidentiality in mind.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs, including unsuitable plasma units and samples.
• Verify that pre-printed labels match dynamic labels to ensure correct unit labeling.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and heat seal to maintain sterility and quality per SOPs.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed according to SOPs and center procedures.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any equipment issues; record variances.
• Conduct daily calibration of equipment according to SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs.
• Understand policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment; ensure supplies and forms are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization’s discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
