Job summary

CSL is seeking a devoted Plasma Center Technician to ensure accurate sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will handle labeling accuracy, sterile sample collection, and documentation while maintaining strict safety and privacy standards.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Overtime may be required to support center operations and product quality. Training on SOPs and safety procedures will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are properly stored according to SOPs.
• Verify pre-printed label matches dynamic label to ensure accurate unit labeling.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and ensure sterility and quality of plasma unit samples.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any equipment issues immediately.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
