Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a hands-on Plasma Handler in McAllen, TX. You will collect plasma samples, move units to the freezer, and ensure proper storage and labeling according to SOPs.

You’ll use sterile techniques and heat seals to maintain product quality, and may assist with packing, shipping, and documentation. The role requires at least a high school diploma and 3 months of lab or warehouse experience, with basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move units to the freezer to maintain quality.
• Store plasma units per SOPs and handle unsuitable samples as needed.
• Verify accuracy of unit labeling by matching pre-printed and dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique and heat seal to assure sterility of samples.
• May pack and ship samples per SOPs and prepare shipping/disposal documents.
• Monitor freezer/refrigerator temperatures and report issues; log variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily per SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system.
• Understand hyperimmune program policies if applicable.
• Maintain a clean work environment; follow HSE/OSHA policies; ensure supplies are stocked.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
