Job summary

CSL is hiring a Plasma Center Technician to accurately sample, test, ship and store plasma from donors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and work in a fast-paced environment to support center operations.

Responsibilities include collecting plasma samples with sterile technique, ensuring proper labeling, storing units per SOPs, monitoring temperatures, and documenting donor data while upholding safety and confidentiality. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs.
• Verify labeling accuracy by matching pre-printed labels to dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and seal for sterility per SOPs.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report issues.
• Conduct daily calibration of equipment per SOPs.
• Record donor data in the donor information system as required.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills.
