Job summary

CSL is seeking a Plasma Sample Technician to ensure accurate sampling, testing, shipping and storage of plasma collected from donors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager.

Responsibilities include collecting samples and moving plasma units to the freezer, ensuring proper storage per SOPs, and maintaining labeling accuracy with sterile techniques. This role may require overtime and adherence to HSE/OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment preferred.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• May require bilingual abilities depending on the organization’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move units to the freezer to protect quality.
• Store plasma units per SOPs and handle unsuitable units as needed.
• Verify labeling matches the dynamic label for accuracy.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to maintain sterility.
• Prepare shipping and disposal documentation as required.
• Monitor freezer/fridge temperatures and report variances promptly.
• Calibrate equipment daily following SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain a clean work area.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and may require overtime.
