Job summary

Qualifications

• Active state licensure from paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school required.
• Foreign medical degree acceptable if currently licensed as physician or EMT in the state.
• Minimum of one year experience in a health care environment or clinical experience.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to perform physical assessments and analyze donor health indicators.
• Ability to instruct donors and staff about plasma donation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and supervise approved immunizations.
• Promote positive customer relations with all donors.
• Conduct confidential donor interviews to determine suitability to donate plasma.
• Respond to medically related questions from staff in collaboration with Center Medical Director.
• Perform medical histories and health assessments; assess donor screening results.
