Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a qualified clinician to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, administer immunizations, and provide acute care for donors and staff. You will conduct donor interviews, manage records, and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards.

The role requires active licensure and healthcare experience, with opportunities to work with a Center Medical Director on donor-related medical questions and immunization programs in a regulated plasma donation environment.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic program or medical school required.
• Foreign medical degree acceptable only if licensed as a physician or certified EMT in the state.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a health care environment or clinical experience from a vocational or nursing program.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to assess physical findings and patient status relevant to donor suitability.
• Ability to instruct donors, staff and community about plasma donation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Administer and supervise approved immunizations besides red blood cell immunizations.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff as licensed.
• Promote positive customer relations with all donors.
• Conduct confidential donor interviews to assess suitability for donation.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director for medical questions and guidance.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic management system.
• Explain informed consent, procedures, hazards, and immunization details to donors.
• Respond to medical emergencies per SOPs and maintain emergency kits.
