Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist to guide donors through the plasma donation process, perform venipuncture, monitor donor safety, and maintain a welcoming center environment.

You will ensure accurate labeling, adherence to SOPs, and readiness for daily operations. The role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy certification (preferred, CA requirement), and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to safety in a regulated

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California).
• At least 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and donor care.
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Educate donors on the donation process, center policies, compensation, and donor therapy.
• Greet donors and explain the donation process to establish trust and comfort.
• Conduct venipuncture procedures following SOPs, including arm prep, collection volumes, restarts, and cell loss protocols.
• Monitor donor well-being during the donation process and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, report malfunctions, and ensure readiness for daily operations.
• Set up and operate plasma donation machines, including alarms and shutdowns.
• Collect and label test samples accurately, including NAT testing protocols.
• Keep the donor floor stocked with supplies and soft goods.
• Record donor data and incidents in the electronic donor information system.
• Respond to donor complaints, deferrals, or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Support donor flow by working efficiently and alerting management to bottlenecks.
• Prepare the center for audits by maintaining cleanliness and compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Uphold data integrity and confidentiality for all donor and center information.
